Greetings! There are TWO pages for this site... one for sections 1 through 5, the other for sections 6 through 8. This was done to (hopefully) make page 1 faster to load, although the Javascript may make loading slower for some browsers.
Welcome! These pages provide links to sources of political, social and economic news about mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Tibet and Xinjiang available on the Internet. There are also several links to sources of Stock market and business data, info on the ongoing effects of the 1998 Asian Financial Crisis, as well as Asian and world news which also contains information about recent developments among the global Overseas Chinese community.
This site seeks to improve public understanding and awareness of East Asia by attempting to provide a balanced mix of links highlighting differing points of view on pressing issues. Found a dead link? Have any ideas for improvements? Is this site getting too big or confusing? Don't be shy! I welcome all comments or suggestions. Very special thanks to the thousands of visitors who have helped to make this site so successful.
Finding News About China contains the following sections. There are obvious areas of overlap between them, so try other sections if you cannot find the subject you are looking for.
